National Gallop 2014
Visit the Heroes’ Square on 19-21st September and get to know the Hungarian equestrian traditions! Saddle up!
National Gallop presents over 1000 years of the Hungarian history. This event is the reinvention of our ancient culture and equestrian traditions.
Three days of horseback action, traditional dishes, drinks and Hungarian folk art. Hungary’s vibrant history will be revived right before your eyes.
Starring are: galloping horses, equestrian sports, cavalry and cavalrymen.
During the event, Heroes’ Square will be transformed into a racetrack with 6200 square meters of special equine-friendly sand. Young jockeys, modern-day hussars are on horseback. 250 horses!!! Hooves are pounding, dirt is flying, the crowd is cheering. It’s atmosphere is undescribable.
We aim to change Budapest’s most beautiful main square and it’s surroundings into a little Hungary, where Hungarian and foreign visitors obtain an experience that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. We would like to see more and more foreign visitors at this event, so that they can take home a good impression of Hungary. Come out, see and taste Hungary!
Join us and do not miss the international race where you can see participants from 12 countries!
