Performing an Effective Quality Assessment

As for the training:

The International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) 1300 series require a Chief Audit Executive (CAE) to develop and maintain a Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP). External Quality Assessment is a part of the QAIP. A QAIP is designed to enable an evaluation of the conformance of the internal audit activity with the Definition of Internal Audit and the Standards and an evaluation of the application of the Code of Ethics by the internal auditors. The program also assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal audit activity and identifies the opportunities for its improvement.
The required elements of a QAIP include ongoing and periodic internal assessments which lay the foundation for external assessments and create together establish conformance with the Standards. If you have not yet established a QAIP, a good first step on the path to quality is to conduct an internal quality assessment. This will establish a benchmark of the internal audit activity and can be used to create metrics which will indicate improvement in areas of conformance with the Standards.
The training is based on the official licence of the IIA, after the successful performance of the seminar, all participants will receive a „Accreditation in Quality Assessment/Validation” certificate. In possession of this certificate these experts will be entitled to do external evaluation, to issue certificates about this and to act as a trainer on other trainings.

• understand external assessments or validated self-assessment process and the role of the Chief Audit Executive in it.
• Aims of the quality of the internal audit of the quality assurance standards (for outdoor cooking engagement quality reviews).
• Goals of the internal audit quality assurance and commitment to the IIA Standards 1300 Series.
• IPPF – Standards, Practice Guide, Code of Ethics, process of the external and internal quality assessment (Assessment tools, Best Practices).
• Internal audit position within the company (Board, Audit Committee, independence, assurance and consulting services).
• The validated self-assessment process in practice.
• Quality Assessment self-studies.
• Obtain the „Accreditation in Quality Assessment/Validation” certificate

Who should attend:

- experienced, senior professionals such as senior auditors, audit managers, managers whose responsibility is to maintain the QA&IP, and
- internal audit executives (Chief Audit Executive) who like external and internal evaluations to be carried out within the framework of the area of quality management and development program and would like to get feedback on its conformity to the standards and
- those who need and want to improve the commitment of their internal audit services.

Furthermore to experts willing to make external evaluation following the international standards individually or on behalf of their company or would like to act as a trainer in this field.

Credit points:
The participants can get 16 credit points for the QA Training.
